Fill out and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); your child may be eligible for federal grants and loans. Colleges or universities that accept your child will consult the FAFSA and may offer a scholarship as part of the admissions package.
Contact business, civic, or religious groups in your community to see what's available. Apply for as many as possible. These can really add up, and remember, you'll never get anything if you don't apply.
